Angkor Thom is gigantic, with the big Bayon temple situated at the south and many other small temples and architectures towards the north.
After Bayon, we head on to Baphuon. I couldn't describe the temples as good as Daryl, so just enjoy the photos. =)
Baphuon [waited very long for the people to get out of the path]
Too bad it was closed due to the restoration process and thus we have to move on to Phimeanakas.

Not following the crowd and tours, we walked north ourselves to reach the north gate of Phimeanakas.

we acted like some archaeologists at the gate
At the gate, there was a Cambodian guy who acted very friendly and talked to you about himself and about Angkor. But in the end, he wants money from you! So, a little reminder here, don't ever trust strangers.
Up next, Preah Palilay.
We just snapped some photos and head on to the Terrace of the Leper King and Terrace of the Elephants.
It's a little different from the temples we see. Terrace of the Elephants is like a long platform and it's said to be the place where king Jayavarman VII to view his victorious returning army.

Can you see? Garuda and Lion are carved alternatively on the wall
And I'm sitting on one of 'em [yee-hah!]
I didn't really sit on it lah, I was just standing on one foot while taking the photo. We need to preserve the beautiful architectures and statues right?
After a long morning, Sovoeun drove us back to Siem Reap town for lunch. Billy, out.
