Korea WooHoo at Genting

6 March 2010 @ Genting Highlands

It's been many years since the Korea 5 Tigers go tripping together. As everyone was busy with their own work, several attempts to go for vacation together failed. More of a money matter for me. =P

DeYan, ChauLun and ChinNam bought tickets to watch Dayo Wong Zi Wah's stand up comedy show at Genting. So they ajak-ed ShinKeat and I to tag along for free lodging! Ahem, thanks~!

We headed to Coffee Terrace for eat-till-your-stomach-explode buffet lunch. Then checked into our room and went to play snooker and pool.

Giogy, Willy, Mr. Microsoft, Scan & Baekhunkia [top to bottom]

After the Dayo's show, we had Cup Noodles feast in the room. 5 different flavours for 5 people. We drew lots to determine who gets which cup.

We played cards in the room and then headed out for Casino. Everyone was tired after that...

7 March 2010 @ Genting Highlands

Second day in Genting started with 5 rounds of bowling. There was a promotion for early birds - RM15 for unlimited rounds of bowling from 10am till 12noon. Wah I bowl till my fingers were swollen. Anyway, it was fun, I have never bowled 5 games straight before this.

After that, we went back to our room to get our stuff to check out. 10 more minutes till check out time but both our keys were disabled already! DeYan and ChauLun went to the counter to reactivate the card while the 3 of us were stuck sitting outside like beggars getting stares from the passers-by every now and then.

Upon check out, we still have ample time to lepak around before our bus arrives. Tapao-ed Old Town milk teas and went to the little garden to take pictures.

Take 1: Promoting Old Town Milk Tea

Take 2: Kicking
(We had to comprehend not to lift our legs too high up coz someone had problem lifting his leg...)

Take 3: Standing

Take 4: Selling Butts

Take 5: Thousand-head god

Take 6: Head stack
(reminds me of the shot we did at Korea)

Took a 2pm bus back to KL and back to reality. It was a good hang out with the tigers (and an ox). Looking forward for more in the future ya. Billy, out.

We Don't Need Teachers Anymore?

Read this story few days back.
A primary school headmistress asked a teacher not to punish a student for not doing her homework to avoid offending her rich parents, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The teacher had earlier complained to the headmistress that some parents thought that the homework she gave was meaningless and would not help the students in their life later.

The students then decided not to do their homework but the teacher was surprised when the headmistress asked her to not punish them.
plucked from The Star Online

Seems that the academic line is getting easier and easier, in its own way. Teachers in my time used to make sure everyone do their homework and those who didn't shall be punished.

Since teachers are not allowed to punish students nowadays, and students are not doing their homework, there is no need of any teachers in schools anymore! In the future, all children will be home-schooled as these parents are smart enough to decide what's meaningful or not for their children.

Is there a problem in our education system? Or the kids nowadays are spoiled by their parents? Whatever it is, it's not bringing any good to our future generation until the problem is resolved.

I suggest that we have 2 different schools in the future - normal school and manja school. How's that? Billy, out.

My Valentine

2009 was a special year as Valentine's Day fell on the same day as Chinese New Year. Thus my valentine's celebration was split to two.

11 February 2010 @ Pre-Valentine's Day

It was all home-cooked. Though dishes were served kinda late, we were quite satisfied with our Lovey Dory Meal. =P

Yumz!

19 February 2010 @ Post-Valentine's Day

Contrast to Pre-V, we went out to Waterlily's for dinner after a movie.

Some passion fruit drink + Pulut hitam drink

Fried chicken strips + Fried potatoes

Platter - Satay, Fried Calamari, Chicken Wing

The food was not bad but slightly pricey. The satay was quite special as they use lemongrass instead of a normal stick to cucuk the meat. Oh the 3 types of sauces were kinda nice too.

There was nothing fancy but I really enjoyed the moments we had together. Billy, out.

Earth Day in TM

Yesterday was Earth Day (22 April 2010) and we were told to wear green to show our love to the nature.

Took a group photo with all the IT department members who also wore green yesterday. O'rite, enough of yucky green in my blog. Billy, out.

P/S: I still love mother nature though green isn't my favourite colour. =)

My Chinese New Year

Yada. Yada. Yada.

13 February 2010 @ Home

This year's Chinese New Year is just like any other Chinese New Year. It's all about food, food, food. So you will only find faces of food in this post.

14 February 2010 @ Home jugak

First day of CNY! It's also Valentine's Day! It was also my bro's birthday! Triple celebration I had this year. Had a simple cake cutting ceremony 10 mins before midnight as we'll be vegan on the first day of CNY.

Vegan First day meal - Mutton Curry (my fav), Ginger duck, Fried fish fillet, Sweet and sour pork, Fried seafood tofu, Cold white tofu and other vegetables.

Vegetarian meal but all the dishes also got "meat" one... Hahaha...

17 February 2010 @ Home also

My mom cooked a feast for my special guest.

Special lunch for VIP - Sour plum chicken, Steamed asam fish, Fuchow fish ball soup, Fried "prawns" (cauliflower), Stir fried real prawns and Yee Sang!

18 February 2010 @ JooLi's

Had another feast the next day. I was part of the cooking committee! Proudly presenting my BUTTER SUPER HUGE TIGER PRAWNS FROM SABAH THAT WAS KEPT IN THE FRIDGE FOR 8 MONTHS (on the right of the pic). Okay, I didn't cook the whole dish, I just did the egg strips.

Other than that, all were cooked by the ladies.

Belated Reunion Dinner - My yummy butter prawns, roasted chicken, otak-otak, mixed vege, stir fried smaller prawns, ju hu char and seaweed soup.

The feasts are all over now. Time to shed some pounds Billy! ROAR for the year of tiger! Billy, out.
