The Amazing Race Asia 3

The long awaited Amazing Race Asia Season 3 [TARA3] is finally here, premiering on the 11 sept at 9pm, exculsively on the AXN channel! Wootz!

It's deemed to be the toughest race ever, with shorter resting time, harder journeys and a more fast-paced and intense race.

As always, there will be 10 teams from all over Asia racing against each other to win the grand prize of US$100,000.

Just like the past seasons, we still have 2 teams to represent Malaysia for this time. Present to you the Malaysian teams.

Best friends, Ida & Tania [profile]

Bro & Sis, Bernie & Henry Chan [profile]

Bernie and Ida are both TV personalities. I feel that TARA always chooses actresses, models, paegent queens, TV hosts, etc etc as the participants. The other not-so-famous people who applied are not presentable enough for the viewers?

I don't know. But here's another TV host teaming up with his brother and this team hails from Korea! This is the first time a Korean team is featured in TARA, and hey, one of them is also called William.

Brothers, Willilam & Issac [profile]

Ok ok.. I was grumbling about the selection of racers because my audition tape failed. Yes, I sent in my application few months back while me and my friends were so busy with our Final Year Projects and exams, just to try to get a spot in TARA3.

Anyhow, I'll still support the show. Give me more actions and dramas, racers! =P

Don't forget to tune in to channe 701 [AXN] on 4 Sept at 9pm for Racers Revealed and 11 Sept at 9pm for the first leg of the race!

I think I won't be able to catch the first episode on tv coz' I have to go for some stupid induction course by TM. GAH!

Check out the teams in TARA official site. Who will you be rooting for? I hope the Malaysians can go far again. Go Ida, Tania, Bernie & Henry! =) Billy, out.

P/S: Still no all-guys team for Malaysia. The producers should have picked me. Hahaha...

unfortunately broadcast -- or actually any type of media -- media do take priority on how the people who appear on the shows or ads look. the more good looking, the better. because we all know that sex sells.

hence why you always see amazing race or any reality tv show contestants are pretty/hot/cute/etc etc as hell. which kinda brings everyone else who is relatively normal looking down =/

oh and hai hopped from nuffnang. hope you don't mind this little comment :DD

yea, I got what you mean. They don't only look good, these people are more natural in front of cameras as well.

They can speak better, express themselves better and create more drama for the viewers. Haha...

Hello and thanks for your comment though. =)

Yea, teams from Malaysia have been doing very well for the past seasons. Hopefully they can do it too!

[puiyeel]
Yea, reality shows memang want the commercial values. Next time we should record a video that can show our values. HAHA!

[daryl]
Haha.. it's a good idea dude! I think the "totally clueless bloggers" is very eye-catching. LOL

Yea, it's only USD 100k for Asia version. Not enough sponsors I guess. I don't mind getting USD 50k and travel around the world for free though. hehehe...

C'mon let's team up for the forth installment. =P
