It was Jacky's birthday, it was also our 2nd friendship anniversary aka Start-Work-In-TM anniversary. Blarh, just giving some excuses for the TM Gang to spend some chitty chatty time together. But too bad Cheryl and Eugene can't make it to my house AGAIN.

I volunteered to host the party and we had BBQ that night! Oh look at those glorious food!!!

"Thanks William, I'll take the whole stick"

Everyone's full, we went into the house for some exercise. Mouth exercise I mean. KARAOKE!! Even Mr. "Shy" Sim dish out a couple of numbers.

Last but not least, the cake cutting ceremony and dessert time. Where are my choconilla ice-cream photos?! No photos.... =(

Introducing... Porky Bread!

4 Sept 2010 @ JooLi's Place

For the first time in my life, I tasted Roti Babi. Well I gave it a nicer name, Porky Bread. Haha...

It's just plain white bread stuffed with some pre-cooked minced pork, onions, potato and other stuffs which were not revealed by the chef. Then, coat with a thin layer of eggs and deep fry it. Heard that you can find this at the northern areas... Is that true?

If I can get a good recipe, I can start a Roti Babi Business in KL! Hahaha... *dreaming* Anyway, I love it and craving for more!! Thumbs Up!! Billy, out.

ITAIC Family Day at Hulu Langat

8 August 2010 @ Hulu Langat, Selangor

It was a very memorable day for China on this date, two years back.

It was a very memorable day for me on this date, this year. Not really.

Anyway, it was my department's first ever family day. They wanted to go to Kalumpang, but due to budget constraints, we went to the cheaper Hulu Langat instead.

My GM giving opening speech

Had some breakfast there and after the opening speech by my GM, we headed off to the land under the big bright sun for games. Pretty lame games we had but all of 'em had fun... well...

Boling Kelapa

My immediate manager and AGM in action

Pertandingan Meniup Belon

Baling Belon Berisi Air

This is the only game I took part in and I won it but gotta give up my prize coz someone told me that committee cannot get any prize. %#@%$#

Lumba Lari Kaki Tiga

Musical Chair for kids...

...and ADULTS!

When all of us were burnt till we pass off as Africans, we went back to the hut for our BBQ lunch.

Prawns, chicken, fish, squid and etc etc... Some were overQ-ed, some were underQ-ed. Not my favourite kinda BBQ lunch.

Everyone sitting on the floor eating

To those who doesn't know what's there at Hulu Langat, Hulu Langat has a little stream and... that's all i guess. *Row row row your boat, gently down the streeeeeeam, Merrily Merrily Merrily Merrily, Nothing else is there*

The water was OK lah. Bit murky, bit cooling. What else can you expect from this place right.

Assistant Managers Rock!

We just had our heavy lunch and there we go eating AGAIN. Durians, rambutans, dokongs, fried banana and pulut for tea time. We bought like 100 biji of durians. OMG!

The last activity of the day was prize giving and lucky draws. Hey I'm still sobbing for not getting my Baling Belon prize! But at least I got a consolation for winning some Melaleuca products from the lucky draw. Luckily I won something to cover back my loss. Hahahaha!

Whatever event they plan to do in the future, I hope it's simpler and not that far. Tiring leh.... Billy, out.

Happy Burstday Cheryl

24 July 2010 @ Restoran 88 & Sweet Hut

Guess it was a disastrous evening. We don't have a group photo. We don't even have a decent photo of the birthday girl. The food at Sweet Hut was terrible.

At least we had fun with Mike's new camera's panorama feature. Snapped a picture with everyone in it except ME. Ah, how nice.

Sorry Cheryl, this is the best picture I can find. Hahahaha... Well at least we had a great time hanging out with the rest of TM Gang. Cheers! Billy, out.

Project Homemade Sushi - Haiyak!

17 July 2010 @ JooLi's Place

I luuuuuuuuuurve sushi so much that I decided to make my own sushi. Eating out is rather expensive ya know.

In line with our company's move to cut cost, we also cut cost on our raw materials. This is our list of ingredients:-
  • Japanese Rice
  • Vineger (for the rice)
  • Sesame Seed (for the rice)
  • Seaweed
  • Japanese Cucumber
  • Crabstick
  • Tuna
  • Mayonaise
  • Eggs
  • Mushroom (for Chawanmushi)
And these are our end results. Ta-Da! Simple sushi without fancy salmon and unagi... though I'd love to have 'em.

sushi + chawanmushi

Ready to sell. haha.

What cha think? Look nice? I can tell ya those little lumps of rice certainly taste yummiliciously good. Can't wait for my second round of Project Homemade Sushi with more fishy stuff. Billy, out.

The UnExplored in Genting Highlands

26 June 2010 @ Genting Highlands

Not everyday you get free rooms to stay in. Thanks to WoonLee for her free extra room at First World Hotel, we get to breakaway from the scorching city centre to Genting Highlands!

Not everytime you take the Skyway to Genting you will see thousands of people lining up until the whole floor is jam-packed with people. I was shocked as the queue was all the way down to the lower level.

I thought we would have to queue for at least 2 hours before getting onto the cable car but luck was on our side. A man took the both of us to the express lane with his superb VIP Platinum Genting World Card. Woo-Hoo!

The timing was just nice, reached the top, checked in and went over to the luxurious Maxims Suite where WoonLee's family were putting a night at. The gorgeous rooms there ranges from RM1200 till more than RM4000.

There were also several Signature Suites that were uniquely decorated according to the distinguished theme. Modern, Hollywood, Thai, Chinese, etc etc... Very cool.

@ The Thai Suite

Indoor Fountain along the corridor

We climbed up the stairs to find a indoor heated swimming pool!! Wow, never knew there's a swimming pool at Genting. I only managed to snap a picture before the staff there shooed us away as they were preparing for a private function.

Played with Ethan boy (WoonLee's nephew) for a while and head on to Coffee Terrace for dinner with Leonie. I had tonnes of salmon sashimi. NYUM!

We then went on to catch a night show - Dazzle, which was not very dazzling at all. Got this free from WoonLee too! A few magicians and dancers performing some stuffs... Ok lar, not a bad way to kill time.

Nothing much to do after that, just lepak-lepak, slept and went back to KL the next morning. Thanks WoonLee for the room and the show! Thanks Leonie for the discount at dinner! Billy, out.
