2nd Anniversary to Gua Tempurung & Sungai Klah

This year, we decided to go for a more relaxed one-day trip. First stop - Gua Tempurung.

I've heard so much about this cave but have never been there. I think in Primary school we studied about it, yes?

We took the cheapest tour, which costs RM6 per person. A bit regretted for not taking a longer tour. Maybe next time, anyone wanna go?

Surprisingly, the pathway and lighting and the tour guide was pretty good. You might think that there's nothing much to see in a cave except rock formation. But when the guide tells you what the rock resembles, it became very interesting.

I was very amazed with the inside of the cave actually. I never thought rocks can be so interesting! We even saw crystals but they were too small to be photographed.

On the way to our next destination, we dropped by Kampar for a quick visit to my brother's rented house. We took a tour around UTAR campus and had lunch in Kampar. Geesh, the lake beside the campus is beautiful.


18 March 2011 @ Sungai Klah, Perak

After lunch, both of us bid farewell to my brother and head on south to Sungai Klah Hot Springs & Spa. Quite a few people on my Facebook have posted photos of this place and it looks kinda cool. We decided to see it with our own eyes.

We reached the place a little late, so the Fresh Mountain Spring Pool was closed. But the bright side was, our entrance fee was RM8 per person only.

After surveying the place a bit, we quickly changed into our get-wet-clothes and jumped into the water! There were still a lot of people at the pool though it's quite late already.

We dipped into the hot pool then splashed ourselves with cold water repetitively for a few times. Oh Syok!

Then we walked to the reflexology path, smaller hot spring pools and to the ultimate HOT spring to boil the eggs.

We stayed until quite late where most people already left the place. I like it quiet but it's kinda spooky too, being at an unfamiliar and dark place.

We then bathed and headed back to KL right after that. The drive out of Sungai Klah was very dark as there weren't lots of street lights.

It was a really fun road trip with my beloved. I wanna go to Sungai Klah again! Wheee~~ Billy, out.

KL Heritage Xplorace

I've always been a big fan of races and it's quite some time since I last took part in a race.

This time around, KL Tower organized a race around Kuala Lumpur - KL Heritage Xplorace. I was so excited about it that I dragged JooLi along to take part as a team.

The first thing was registration. We didn't even know where the registration counter was until I noticed a crowd beside the escalator.

And so we waited for our turn and got ourselves a goodie bag each & a passport for the race. All of us had to change to the given t-shirts but we're not allowed to choose our size! Tsk, tsk, tsk.


Before the race start, everyone gathered at the starting line to watch the opening performance and do some light aerobics to warm up our bodies.

The race began with a few mathematical questions and trivia about KL Tower. We were one of the first few teams to complete the first task but looking for the 2nd checkpoint slowed us down a bit.

My leg cramped at Checkpoint #10 and had to call for medical assistance. Malunya... Luckily my leg recovered just before the ambulance arrive. If not lagi malu...

We continue on to complete Checkpoint #11 and Checkpoint #12 to finish the race. But we were disqualified because we didn't finish in time. Well, I reckon more than half of the teams didn't finish in time due to the LOOOONG wait at checkpoints.

I had lots of fun and pain in the whole race. The worst part of the race was how disorganized it was. We left the place before they announce the winner so I didn't know who won. But I'm pretty sure the team that won must be very fit to run around KL on foot for 15km! Billy, out.

Uncle Wai's "Surprise" Visit

9 February 2011 @ Redbox Karaoke + Daorae Korean Restaurant + Moe De Cafe

Well, his return to Malaysia was supposed to be a surprise but words slipped on Facebook and there goes the surprise element. Still, I was exicted to see him back in KL!!

Karaoke is a must in our ritual when we meet up. Too bad SokBee, the self-proclaimed "Pretty Malacca Lady" was not around to make things crazier. More like "Crazy Malacca Lady" to me... Haha!

Then we took ages to decide on what to eat for dinner. Finally the council agreed on Korean food coz the VIP is sick of Steak and Italian.

The crapping session continued at Moe De Cafe. Had to go there as the Old Town beside it was full house.

We had so much fun and jokes and gossips and laughters that I think my jaws were dislocated along the way. Haha... Just kidding.

He's back in London now. I shall see him the next time he's back then, or when I had learn how to teleport. Thanks for the Chocobean thingy that flew thousands of miles to reach my mouth. I tried 'em today. Love it. Billy, out.
